Quick Intro!

I was born into the 3rd generation of animal rescuing in my family. My grandmother, then my mom, me and now my children have all fostered, volunteered and even worked in shelters and rescues! 

I have been professionally involved in, fostering and working for rescues for 23 years now. I also managed a kitten nursery at a local rescue for 5 years specializing in feline neonatal critical care. 

We will be officially licensing our small rescue once we have land so we will have proper space to house our rescue outside the home and cattery to not risk our precious Bengals. Stay tuned for updates! 

I've worked as a veterinariy nurse for 8 years of my rescue career. Having been involved in almost every type of feline treatment plan, I have a wide range of experience with feline health. Since I specialize in feline neonatal critical care, it is also a passion of mine to rescue special needs puppies. 

I have personally fostered and tube fed (for months) 10+ cleft palate and cleft lip puppies over the last 5 years, as well as dozens of traumatic injury/missing body parts, special needs and birth defect kittens.

My name is Vanessa and I was born and raised in sunny south Florida! 

I spent a lot of my younger years around my grandma who had been rescuing animals(mostly kittens) decades before I was born. She also worked as a vet tech in her younger years and cats were always her favorite animal. 

She taught me how to bottle feed kittens, clean and bandage their wounds, warm compress and medicate eyes and provide longterm care to some with critical injuries(engine kitties are common in FL ☹️).

She was always studying and learning about animals even up until her death and inspired that love and craving to learn in me. 

We have 5 children and all have helped foster, volunteer and adopt. It's part of our family tradition now after 4 generations. I also had a litter of babies like my Queens do and have identical triplet boys. I have an older son that wants to be a veterinarian and my daughter(now an adult) helps to manage all the logistics and provides customer service. My hubby helps with deep cleaning on the weekend when he's off. The whole family helps in some way, even if that just means playing and cuddling kittens. 

As a kid swimming in gator lakes and shark waters with a very petite mother who did attack & guard dog training has prepared me for the next level! Bengals are like mixing a cat and dog together, but with intelligence closer to a child! Their fun energy matches our family perfectly. 💜
